Join us for our Big Get-Together – our conference for everyone with a bleeding disorder

We’re bringing together people with bleeding disorders of all ages from across the UK at our Big Get-Together on Saturday 16 November 2024 in the Leicester Marriott Hotel. It will also include the Haemophilia Society’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which is open to all members.

Get ready for a day filled with informative sessions, interactive workshops, and engaging discussions led by experts in the field. Free to our members (and don’t forget it’s free to join the Haemophilia Society), come along to meet others with haemophilia, von Willebrand disorder (VWD), factor XI deficiency, Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and other rare genetic bleeding disorders. Don’t miss this opportunity to come together to make lasting connections, learn about your condition and the latest updates in bleeding disorder care.

Take a look at our draft agenda to gain an insight into how the day will unfold.

Please be advised that members are responsible for booking their own accommodation for this event. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide subsidised rates for hotel stays or a creche service.

Youth Workshop

Join our Youth Workshop led by the amazing Natalie Lawson, our Medical Trustee and Haemophilia Nurse Specialist from Birmingham!

The workshop is open to our younger members aged 10-17 with a bleeding disorder or siblings of people with a bleeding disorder. Get involved in lively, interactive sessions on issues that matter to you, share experiences and meet new people.

We will also have a storytelling session where you’ll team up with other creative minds to craft a one-of-a-kind story. Our Digital Marketing Manager will turn your story into a cool video that will be showcased at the end of the main conference – for everyone to see! This is your chance to have your voice heard, unleash your inner filmmaker and creativity and share awesome stories.
