Josh Crombie

Youth Ambassador and Youth Board Member

My name is Josh Crombie and I have severe haemophilia A with an inhibitor. I became a YA after I went on a youth camp a few years ago after being a member of the society for a while. The youth leaders made it so much fun and were great role models, so I got involved whenever possible.

The best thing about being a YA is meeting newly diagnosed families with lots of questions and seeing their concerns melt away, at least for a little bit, when they meet young people like us who are doing amazingly despite having bleeding disorders.

My proudest achievement so far as a YA is starting a project as part of a team to help the mental healthcare situation for bleeding disorders.
