This penultimate week of the Infected Blood Inquiry has been spent listening to closing statements made on behalf of core participants.
Charlie Cory-Wright KC gave a statement on behalf of NHS Blood and Transplant, which was followed by David Johnston KC for the Scottish government. Nicola Leahey, who was infected with hepatitis C through a blood transfusion, also made a closing submission.
Finally, Philip Aldworth KC, pictured, made a statement on behalf of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and the Department of Health in Northern Ireland. Mark Robinson KC spoke on behalf of the Northern Ireland Blood Transfusion Service.
