This week at the Infected Blood Inquiry there were two presentations on regional blood transfusion centres as well as evidence from two witnesses.
The presentations, by the inquiry’s junior counsel, were on Wessex and Yorkshire Regional Blood Transfusion Centres.
The inquiry also heard evidence from Dr Huw Lloyd, pictured, former director of Northern Region Blood Transfusion Service from 1988 to 1995 and Dr Stanley Dempsey, consultant paediatric haematologist at Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children from 1980 to 2008.
