Calling all open-water enthusiasts!

The Haemophilia Society (THS) is excited to offer you the chance to participate in Swim Serpentine 2024! We have secured two Half-Mile places and two One-Mile places in this iconic London event.

What is Swim Serpentine?

Swim Serpentine is a fantastic opportunity to take on a challenge in the beautiful setting of Hyde Park’s Serpentine Lake. Whether you’re a seasoned open-water swimmer or looking for a memorable pool-to-open-water transition, this event has something for everyone.

We’d love for you to join TeamTHS at Swim Serpentine. By participating, you’ll be helping to raise awareness and funds for a great cause.

How to Apply:

  • Fill in the online application form below and complete it with your details and preferred race distance (Half-Mile or One-Mile).
  • Applications close on Thursday, 15 August 2024. We may close applications earlier if we receive a sufficient number of successful applicants before this date.
  • If your application is successful, we will confirm this with you, and you will have until Thursday, 22 August, to finalise your details with the Swim Serpentine team.

    Thank you for considering taking part in Swim Serpentine to raise money for the Haemophilia Society (THS). If offered a place, you agree to pay the registration fee of £45 for the half-mile swim or £60 for the one-mile swim to secure your place and raise the minimum sponsorship of £200 for the half-mile swim or £250 for the one-mile swim for THS through JustGiving no later than 14 October 2024 . I understand that the minimum fundraising pledge to be raised for THS applies per person.

    If you drop out for any reason your registration fee is non-refundable and cannot be rolled over to next year or another event.

    THS does not take responsibility for any health issues during your training for Swim Serpentine or any incidents that occur on swim day. If you have any health concerns prior to, or during, your training please consult with your doctor.

    THS reserves the right to refuse an application at its absolute discretion.

    You must be 18 years or over on the day of the swim.

    If you are unable to participate in the event for any reason, all donated monies collected in support of THS must be forwarded to the charity or returned to the individual sponsors. Monies already received by the charity will not be refunded.

    Please contact THS immediately if you think you are going to be unable to participate.

    When THS establishes contact described as "urgent", we ask swimmers to respond via email/telephone/in writing as quickly as possible.

    By signing up to Swim Serpentine you are consenting to THS using any images of you in our promotional materials. Please contact us in advance of the event if you are unhappy with this arrangement.

    N.B. You must pay an amount of income tax or capital gains tax equal to the tax we reclaim on your donations (currently 25p for every £1 you give). Please let us know if your circumstances or address details change so that we can update our records.
