We’re going to Haemfest! Are you?

Written by Aaron Dennis, February 1, 2022

James and his family have signed up for Haemfest 2022, our free camping event which brings together people affected by a bleeding disorder for a fun weekend with a festival atmosphere in Derbyshire from 24 to 26 June.

James, who lives in the Wirral, will be attending Haemfest with his wife Vicki and their children Rory, seven, who has severe haemophilia A, Matilda, five and Minnie, three.

‘We’ve been looking for a way of meeting other families with haemophilia, so Haemfest has come at a perfect time for us. Most importantly, the kids will have a lot of fun – we’ve all been stuck at home for so long and this is a great chance to make the effort and be with other people again.’

Haemfest offers you the chance to meet people affected by bleeding disorders of all ages from around the UK. There will be a range of free activities on offer including circus skills, Tai Chi and a family barn dance as well as workshops on bleeding disorder care.

Full details about the event and how to book can be found here.
