Update regarding our current approach to coronavirus

Written by Aaron Dennis, March 12, 2020

We have been following government advice on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak very closely and have made some difficult decisions considering the current situation.

The following events due to take place on Saturday 14 March and Saturday 21 March 2020 have now been postponed to later in the year:

Talking Red event – York
Screening of Bombardier Blood – Belfast
Big Red London Bridge Walk – London

The following events have already been postponed to the autumn:

Family day at Paradise Park, Hertfordshire – 26 October
Family day at Bristol Aquarium – 26 October
Newly diagnosed weekend, Essex – 30 Oct – 1 Nov

We are of course very disappointed to have to postpone these events, but the health and well being of our members and volunteers is our number one priority.

We will let you know when these events will be rescheduled over the next few months.

Events due later in the year will be considered as we get nearer to the event and we have a better understanding of the situation. Please do visit our website for updates.

Staff team working from home

We have also decided that in order to help protect our staff team and volunteers, we will be closing our London office until further notice. We will however all be working from home and are contactable via our usual phone numbers and email addresses. Will still be offering support and information to our community via our usual channels.
