Managing school when a child has a bleeding disorder
When any child starts or changes school, at whatever age, it can be a difficult time for their parents. For parents of children with bleeding disorders it can be even more so.
So in response to many requests we’ve produced a booklet that can be used by you as parents, as well as being a useful tool for staff at your child’s new school.
This new resource aims to help you work with school staff to create an appropriate care plan to meet your child’s specific needs. It focuses on the most common bleeding disorders (haemophilia and von Willebrand disease), though any action schools need to take will be similar for all bleeding disorders.
