With a Psychology degree and a Masters in Public Health, Sonia currently works as a senior research consultant analysing and producing data and literature in the field of burden-of-illness. Haemophilia is one of the rare disease areas that she works within, updating and assessing the outcomes of current and future treatment therapies for those with bleeding disorders.
Being married to a severe haemophiliac, Sonia has experience of the impact that living with a bleeding disorder has on a family. Furthermore, with one of her two children being a symptomatic carrier, her knowledge of female bleeding disorders is ever growing.
Sonia‘s background and current work within the research field inspires her to aim for access to better treatments and therapies, attaining equality for all bleeding disorders, of any age and any gender.
