Youth Ambassador
Hi I’m Matty, a 23 year old with severe Haemophilia A and a recent graduate from the University of Huddersfield with a degree in Product Design.
Having haemophilia from an early age, it has been embedded into me to approach anything with the philosophy ‘Improvise, Adapt, Overcome’, which is now a famous meme thanks to Bear Grills. I played football all the way through my childhood years and for a season whilst at university. During my first year I also got roped into cheerleading to the point of joining a team to compete with since graduating. Not to mention I love music; I play the drums as a hobby and enjoy going to gigs as nothing beats listening to live music.
I have been a Youth Ambassador for the past 4 years and it’s something I am extremely passionate about. The ability to give back and have an impact on the community is amazing, supporting newly diagnosed families at our weekends and the Youth Camps are always great fun!
