How do I set up my GivePenny Fundraising page?

When you join the Race Around the World challenge, you will set up your GivePenny account.  From the dashboard on your account page, choose ‘your challenge’ (Race Around the World) and you’ll see a welcome page with an ‘Edit page’ button.  The left column will have multiple dropdown options that allow you to edit various elements of your page.

How do I create a fundraising team?

You’ll need to create your fundraising page first and act as an ‘admin’ for your team.  From the dashboard on your account page, choose ‘your challenge’ (Race Around the World) and you’ll see a welcome page with an ‘Update Progress’ button.  Click here and then choose ‘Update Team members’ from the dropdown menu.  Then simply add in the name and email address of the person you would like to invite onto your team.

How do I connect my Runkeeper or Strava app?

On your dashboard, scroll down to the bottom to ‘Your connected apps’ and click on the greyed-out logo of the app you want to connect to. This will take you straight on to the app website, where you can log in as normal. Once signed in, you will be asked to give permission for GivePenny to view your profile details.  None of your personal details from your app will be stored by GivePenny.

How do I manually add my miles?

From the dashboard on your account page, choose ‘your challenge’ (Race Around the World) and you’ll see a welcome page with an ‘Update Progress’ button. Click here and then choose ‘Add tracking activity’ from the dropdown menu. Here you can add or subtract progress units, which will be saved when you hit the ‘Update’ button.
