Join us for our virtual Buddies who Brunch on 17 April 2020!
Thank you for supporting The Haemophilia Society by getting involved in the Buddies Who Brunch event, whether it’s for World Haemophilia Day or any other time of year!
We have been working hard on our new and exciting campaign, Buddies who Brunch. With the coronavirus and limitations that come with it, we would like to invite you to host your brunch virtually – you can still connect with your friends and loved ones via one of several online platforms (Zoom, Skype, Google hangouts, Webex meetings, Lifesize go, Facebook etc).
Not only you will break a routine and enjoy a catch up and some delicious food with people you love, but you will also help The Haemophilia Society in this difficult time of uncertainty with your fundraising.
So put on something red, find your favourite pan and join us for the weekend of fun, food and photography, and please share and tag us on your social media! We are looking forward to see your creations and thank you for your support of The Haemophilia Society – we couldn’t do what we do without you!
Why we need your support
We know it’s a very challenging time for everyone right now but we could not exist without the generosity of our local community – people just like you. The vital money you raise will allow us to continue to provide free access to our membership and services for all those affected by genetic bleeding disorders, whenever and wherever our community needs us, including over 8,000 people living with haemophilia in the UK.
So please consider hosting a virtual brunch today! Any contribution, no matter how big or small, really will make a difference at a time when our community needs us most.
How we can support you
There’s lots of useful tips in our fundraising guide to help make your fundraising as easy as possible. The best thing to do is to start a fundraiser on Facebook as it’s an easy way to get extra funds.
To create a fundraising page just click ‘Fundraisers’ in the left menu of your News Feed, then click ‘Raise Money’, select ‘Non-profit’ or ‘Charity’ and finally select ‘The Haemophilia Society’, choose a cover photo and fill in the fundraiser details. Then all you have to do is click ‘Create’ and share it with friends. Couldn’t be easier!
We have also set up a dedicated Facebook group where you can connect with other ‘brunchers’, share tips, recipes and experiences, compare your delicious masterpieces and post best pictures from your event.
We have also created lots of useful materials to help make your brunch a great success! Our fundraising guide is packed with exciting recipes, there’s a quiz to engage your ‘brunchers’, bunting to decorate, and materials to help you with your fundraising.
Please note that some of the materials will not be relevant for ‘virtual’ brunches, but will be handy in the future.
