Join us for a special camping weekend packed with activities, entertainment and workshops for all members of the bleeding disorders community in the beautiful woodlands of central Derbyshire.

HaemFest offers you the chance to meet people with bleeding disorders of all ages from around the UK, to enjoy a weekend of fun, friendship and experience-sharing in the great outdoors.

Admission is absolutely FREE, though you will need to complete an Eventbrite booking so we know who is coming. If you are staying in a tent, then there are no accommodation costs either. If you are planning to come along with your caravan or motorhome, then regular campsite fees apply and you will need to book your space directly with the campsite (see below for details).

HaemFest highlights include:

  • circus skills workshop
  • a family barn dance on Saturday night
  • drop-in workshops on bleeding disorder care
  • an art tent for children
  • belly dancing taster sessions
  • two marquees for activities and workshops
  • a chance to learn how to stage fight
  • Tai Chi and Qi Gong taster sessions
  • introduction to meditation class

There will be loads of activities to try, but if you want to simply relax and watch the world go by, then that’s fine too.

Located in the picturesque hamlet of Golden Valley, Golden Valley Caravan and Camping Park is set within 26 acres of woodland. We have a separate rally field for tents and Haemfest activities, with its own toilets, shower block and washing-up facilities. Campervans and pods are based just a five-minute walk away at the main campsite.

Bring your own food and drink for the weekend (we are not able to cater for specific dietary requirements). Please note there is no bar at HaemFest, although the campsite has one on its main site. Parents are responsible for supervising their children at all times. Please ensure you have read the campsite’s rules and regulations before booking your place. By booking, you are confirming that you have read and will abide by the campsite’s rules.

The campsite is dog friendly, with a charge of £2 a day.
