Given the current restrictions on mass gatherings and the social distancing measures which are likely to be in place for some time to come, race organisers Virgin Sport postponed the original race, which was due to take place on July 5, to the summer of 2021.
Instead, runners can participate in the Virtual ASICS London 10K, regardless of whether they were already registered for the ASICS London 10K.
Good news is that there’s no registration fee and it only takes a couple of minutes to register following the link on Virgin Sport page. Registration is opened until July 31 and all you have to do is run a 10K distance, using Strada, Runkeeper or any other app that tracks your time and distance, and upload your result to the virtual race leaderboard. You can complete the challenge your own time following your chosen route, whether that’s a local park, woodland or even your back garden. If parks and streets are too busy to run safely following current social distancing guidelines, then please wait for an alternative time to complete your challenge.
Results must be uploaded by August 7 to be eligible for a prize in one of seven age group categories for both male and female competitors.
All participants will receive a printable race bib, an exclusive digital goody bag and access to the official leaderboard.
There is no minimum sponsorship target so send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to get your fundraising pack!
