We are pleased to offer this online mindfulness taster session in partnership with The Northern Centre for Mindfulness and Compassion (NCMC)
Living with both the challenges of a bleeding disorder and in the midst of a pandemic has meant that for many self-care has moved from desirable to essential over recent months.
Sometimes though self-care can feel like another item on a long list of things we should be doing!
In this session we will explore mindful self-care as a means of bringing care to times of difficulty in our lives. Whether you are under pressure, feeling frustrated, experiencing illness or a sense of loss, now more than ever it is vital that we take steps to support our physical, mental and emotional health.
Mindfulness involves bringing increased awareness to the unfolding of present moment experience with curiosity, openness and acceptance. Whilst paradoxical to approach moments of difficulty in this way mindfulness has been proven to help nurture improved self-care, self-regulation and resilience.
