Today, The Haemophilia Society urged Healthcare at Home to formally investigate the recent appalling service being delivered to patients.
In a letter to Darryn Gibson, Chief Executive of Healthcare at Home, Clive Smith, chair of The Haemophilia Society, conveys outrage on behalf of people with haemophilia and their families at the unacceptable breakdown of the delivery of essential medications over recent weeks.
Mr Smith wrote: “Over recent months, we have continuously received complaints from highly distressed, frustrated and frightened patients or their parents.”
“At any time this would be unacceptable, but in the shadow of the global pandemic the recent breakdown is simply unforgivable.“
