The Haemophilia Society today welcomed the appointment of a chair to lead the Statutory Public Inquiry into contaminated blood and blood products.
The Haemophilia Society today welcomed the appointment of Sir Brian Langstaff to lead the Statutory Public Inquiry into contaminated blood and blood products.
Liz Carroll, Chief Executive of The Haemophilia Society said: “This scandal devastated a generation of people with haemophilia; today’s announcement is an important step towards truth and justice for those families.”
Our priority is to work with Mr Justice Langstaff to ensure the Inquiry sets focused and effective Terms of Reference enabling it to provide a full report in a timely manner. The completion of the Terms of Reference requires complete involvement for the affected community.
We hope work will begin as soon as possible to avoid further delay.
