Disability Living Allowance (DLA) is a benefit aimed to help with the additional costs of raising a child with a medical condition or disability. It can be claimed for children under the age of 16.
Not every family with a child with a bleeding disorder will be awarded DLA. You have to show how your child’s bleeding disorder affects your lives and that your child has particular care needs as a result of their condition.
